Position Overview

The Facilities Assistant is essential in ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. The role encompasses maintenance coordination, inventory management, and overseeing workplace security to maintain optimal facility standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Maintenance Work:
    • Supervise and coordinate maintenance tasks to guarantee safe and efficient facility operations.
    • Oversee repairs and manage preventative maintenance.
    • Liaise with external contractors and build solid relationships with staff for effective facility management.
  • Manage Inventory:
    • Track and manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and assets.
    • Regularly check inventory levels and ensure all equipment is functional and in good condition.
  • Oversee Security:
    • Collaborate with the services and security team to maintain a secure workplace.
    • Assist with safety protocols, manage key holder responsibilities, and monitor access to the premises.

Academic Qualifications

  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
  • Certificate in Storekeeping.

Person Specifications

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Honest and with high levels of integrity.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to facility management.

Experience: No prior work experience required.

Work Hours: 8 hours per day
