Job Purpose:
The DevOps Engineer will support the deployment and localization of RTV’s project management applications on local data centers and cloud service platforms. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient deployment, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deploy and configure project management applications on local and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with software development teams to automate deployment using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of applications through monitoring and optimization.
• Implement localization strategies to customize applications for specific user requirements in Rwanda and other regions.
• Manage cloud resources using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Work closely with Software Engineering, IT, and security teams to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployment, performance, and localization.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on industry trends in DevOps, cloud computing, and localization.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on deployment and application optimization in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell) and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).
• Strong knowledge of IaC principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of project management tools is a plus.
