Job Summary:
The Accounts Relationship Officer will be responsible for promoting, selling, processing, and monitoring various client loans such as Business Loans, Agricultural Loans, Personal Loans, and Micro-Lending Loans. These include Self-Managed Groups, FINCA Easy Loans, and Micro Individual Loans. The officer will focus on growing deposits and loan portfolios, client acquisition, and retention strategies in line with FINCA Uganda’s goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Market FINCA products and services to potential clients.
2. Identify potential customers, markets, and products, and develop strategies for customer acquisition and retention in line with branch strategies, credit policy, and customer relationship management standards.
3. Grow deposit and loan portfolio values in the assigned branch in line with set targets.
4. Appraise and prepare detailed loan applications to determine their creditworthiness.
5. Monitor and evaluate loan performance.
6. Follow up on and recover loans.
7. Organize client sensitization seminars and information dissemination for existing and potential borrowers.
8. Plan, review, and monitor strategies for loan growth, quality control, and submission of periodic reports in line with the work plan and FINCA Uganda lending policy.

Competencies:

• Hands-on experience in sales and community mobilization.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in teams or independently.
• Fluency in English and one or two local languages.
• Professional appearance and ability to provide a positive company image.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and negotiation skills.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
• High level of analytical and creative skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any business-related field from a recognized University or Tertiary Institution.
2. Availability to travel 70% of the time.
