Job Summary:
On behalf of Steel Corporation of East Africa, Human Capital Business Solutions is seeking two experienced and competent Sales Managers to drive sales growth and expand market reach for steel products like TMT Bars, Chain Link Fencing, Binding Wire, and Barbed Wire Fencing. The Sales Managers will be responsible for identifying potential customers, developing marketing strategies, and nurturing client relationships to achieve sales targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and monitor sales performance and track KPIs to meet sales targets and collections.
  2. Analyze sales data to evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with clients; prepare proposals, quotes, and sales agreements.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with dealers, contractors, and clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  5. Identify potential customers and market segments through research and customer profiling.
  6. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote products, increase brand awareness, and drive engagement.
  7. Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and pitches to prospective clients.
  8. Generate leads, qualify prospects, and follow up on inquiries through various channels.
  9. Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing materials and support campaigns.
  10. Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and events to increase sales conversions.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements that impact marketing efforts.
  12. Develop product positioning strategies targeting industries like construction, infrastructure, and automotive.
  13. Provide regular reports on campaign outcomes, market conditions, and strategic recommendations.
  14. Contribute to sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans for business growth.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the steel manufacturing industry (TMT Bars, Chain Link Fencing, Binding Wire, Barbed Wire Fencing).
  • 3-7 years of experience as a marketing specialist.
  • Analytical skills to analyze market data and campaign performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinking to align marketing initiatives with business goals.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in technical and marketing tools.
