Job Summary:
We are seeking to recruit Secondary School Teachers who will be responsible for imparting knowledge and skills to learners at Watoto Schools, while ensuring a high standard of education and holistic development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct classroom instruction in accordance with Watoto education standards and the Ministry of Education and Sports.
  • Evaluate teaching and learning outcomes through monthly and termly assessments.
  • Monitor the academic performance of learners in subjects and classes to ensure academic excellence.
  • Create and maintain a safe, conducive, and interactive learning environment for the learners.
  • Recognize and celebrate outstanding learners in various aspects of school life.
  • Demonstrate good stewardship of resources and property by ensuring the safe custody and optimal use of assigned equipment.
  • Motivate and engage learners in at least one vocational skill, ensuring consistent participation in skilling activities.
  • Monitor and report the performance of learners in vocational skills.
  • Assess and evaluate real-life projects presented by learners.
  • Conduct effective leadership sessions with learners in small groups.
  • Lead one-on-one mentorship sessions and provide guidance by being present and available in the learners’ lives.
  • Conduct real-life projects to provide experiential learning opportunities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • The applicant should hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in teaching.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of flexibility and initiative.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and under minimal supervision.
  • Strong pedagogical, creative, and innovative skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
