Job Summary:
We are seeking to recruit an Online Students Support Coordinator to provide Christian leadership and management to all online students, ensuring quality education and support throughout their learning experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive database of students studying online, along with their respective institutions of learning.
- Act as the first point of contact for all tertiary institution requests and concerns related to students, escalating issues that require attention from other Watoto departments.
- Maintain cumulative records for students and track academic performance.
- Monitor academic progress and collaborate with institutions to offer additional academic support as needed.
- Ensure students meet academic deadlines and avoid retakes.
- Prepare and submit online learning and tuition needs requests.
- Coordinate meetings and set agendas for the online tertiary students’ team.
- Support the administration and implementation of the approved tertiary budget and resources.
- Ensure budget and cost-control measures are adhered to during the delivery of the online tertiary programs.
- Assist in the development of the annual online learning workplan, calendar, and budget.
- Collaborate with the tertiary team to strengthen mentorship, career guidance, and work-placement opportunities for students.
- Develop and track work-placement opportunities and apprenticeships using a work-placement index.
- Ensure that examinations and assessments are conducted in secure and convenient locations with stable internet.
- Compile a list of students for recognition awards certified by their respective institutions.
- Respond to all online learning queries and concerns, forwarding to the tertiary coordinator when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all online learning proceedings.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any relevant discipline.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a similar role within a learning environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Strong guidance and counseling skills.
- Commitment to contributing to students’ learning progress.
- Excellent communication skills, team player, results-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
