Position Overview

The Finance Officer will join Educate!’s finance team, working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with financial procedures, timely preparation of monthly financials, and management of staff imprest advances. You will be responsible for posting transactions into the accounting software, enforcing financial controls, managing accounts receivable, and training staff on finance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

QuickBooks Posting (50%)

  • Prepare and enter journal vouchers into QuickBooks.
  • Reconcile ledger accounts and produce daily transaction posting reports.

Enforcing Controls & Compliance (20%)

  • Ensure payments are backed by requisite documentation.
  • Maintain traceable records of supporting documentation.
  • Address policy compliance issues.

Accounts Receivable (20%)

  • Reconcile accountabilities against advances and ensure balance returns are duly banked.

Staff Training (10%)

  • Train and orient staff on finance procedures and offer feedback to both field and office teams.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience, with at least 2+ years in finance, accounting, or financial analysis.
  • Experience working in dynamic environments, with demonstrated adaptability.
  • Passion for Educate!’s mission is essential.
