170 Undergraduate Scholarships at the Ministry of Education and Sports

The Ministry of Education and Sports has received an additional 170 Undergraduate Scholarships from the Government of Algeria for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandan scholars to pursue studies at the undergraduate level in Algerian universities.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Must have a minimum of 2 Principal passes at D level for ‘A’ Level in the relevant subject combinations.
- Should be below 25 years of age at the time of application.
- Should have obtained A-level results in 2022 or 2023.
- Must possess certified pass slips of A Level results from UNEB and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Should have a Passport or evidence of application.
- Must provide a Birth Certificate and a Medical Certificate.
- Two passport photos are required.
- Candidates already admitted on government sponsorship need not apply.
Note:
- The medium of instruction in all fields and specialties is conducted in French or English.
- Candidates nominated for this scholarship in the academic year 2023/2024 need not re-apply, as the Ministry already has their records.
Terms of Scholarship:
All successful candidates will be required to purchase a one-way air ticket to Algeria. A return air ticket will be provided.
