CNOOC Uganda Limited is seeking a qualified Interface Manager responsible for coordinating the design interface and overseeing the Oil Field Development Project. This position involves liaising with contractors and partners to manage system interfaces, address challenges, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of system interfaces and integrations.
  • Coordinate with contractors to identify and resolve interface-related challenges.
  • Develop and manage an interface responsibility matrix, ensuring the resolution of identified issues.
  • Collaborate with Partners’ Interface Managers to assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Implement a change management process for modifications in interface agreements.
  • Document all changes and ensure communication aligns with partners and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide technical expertise in reviewing activities from various disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
  • Ensure proper coordination of interfaces across departments, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare project proposals, timelines, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor and track project progress, reporting issues to management.
  • Act as the point of contact, communicating project status to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain and distribute necessary project reports.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
    • At least 6 years of experience in design or site construction management for Oil and Gas field projects.
    • International working experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Strong familiarity with project management and site management procedures in Oil and Gas field projects.
    • High degree of multi-tasking, time management, and experience in interface testing and performance monitoring.
    • Proficient in integration methodologies, tools, MS Office, and fluent in English.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
