Lugazi Diocese is seeking Assistant Field Officers to provide administrative support for the implementation of the DREAMS project. The role focuses on planning, acquiring resources, and ensuring that Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) receive services to help them become Determined, Resilient, AIDS-Free, Mentored, and Safe. This position also involves full documentation of program results and collaboration with local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement programs and projects within the sub-county.
- Support the rollout of economic services such as VSLA, Financial Literacy, and assess program-eligible beneficiaries.
- Manage and allocate resources, including budget and personnel.
- Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and partners.
- Monitor and report on program progress and performance.
- Identify and address challenges and opportunities within the sub-county.
- Collaborate with teams and departments for alignment and effectiveness.
- Represent the organization in local forums and meetings.
- Conduct field visits to ensure AGYW receive services according to their age groups.
- Supervise curriculum-based interventions, including NMN Stepping Stones and Journeys Plus.
- Work with health facilities to ensure clinical services such as HTS, PrEP, and STI treatments are provided in safe spaces through supporting outreaches.
- Maintain model and community safe spaces.
- Ensure AGYW receive referrals and linkages for vocational training and document feedback.
Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination, management, or a related field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of project management principles and tools.
- Certification in program management or a related field is an advantage.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with local government structures and operations.
- At least three years of experience working with adolescents, especially girls.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
Physical Abilities:
- Ability to reside in rural areas of Kayunga.
- Frequent travel within the sub-county and occasionally to other locations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government officials, community leaders, and partners.
Supervisory Controls:
The Assistant Field Officers will report to and work under the immediate supervision of the Field Coordinator (DREAMS).
