Job Overview:

The Store Manager will oversee the management of inventory and supplies at Guide Leisure Farms’ facilities, ensuring efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to support farm operations. This position plays a key role in promoting sustainability and cost-effectiveness within the store management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement inventory management policies, procedures, and systems to ensure accurate tracking, control, and optimization of inventory levels.
• Coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand, plan procurement activities, and assess inventory needs.
• Source suppliers for materials, supplies, and equipment, negotiating contracts and terms to achieve cost savings and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues.
• Oversee the receiving, inspection, and storage of incoming inventory, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock audits, and identify discrepancies, obsolete items, and opportunities for optimization.
• Implement inventory control measures, such as FIFO (First In, First Out) and JIT (Just-In-Time), to reduce waste and holding costs.
• Coordinate with farm operations teams to fulfill inventory requests and manage stock movements and transactions.
• Lead, train, and evaluate store staff, fostering competence and professionalism in store operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve store management efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Additional certifications in inventory management or procurement are advantageous.
• Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally in the agricultural, manufacturing, or hospitality industry.
• Expertise in inventory control, procurement processes, and supplier management, with strong knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems, with experience in optimizing inventory management processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions for inventory optimization.
• Leadership and supervisory experience, with a focus on motivating teams to achieve departmental objectives.
• Commitment to sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a dynamic environment.
