Job Summary:

Numida seeks four Junior Credit Relationship Officers to manage credit portfolios, conduct due diligence on potential borrowers, analyze their creditworthiness, and ensure compliance with company policies. The officers will engage with loan applicants, perform financial analysis, and manage loan collections while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct due diligence interviews for new and repeat loan applicants.
• Perform financial analysis of loan applicants to assess their business and financial status.
• Present well-supported recommendations to the Credit Committee for each loan application.
• Manage loan collections, following Numida’s processes for delinquent borrowers.
• Generate new business through referral calls.
• Collaborate with the Product team on experiments to improve service quality.
• Address inbound service inquiries via phone or WhatsApp and resolve issues, escalating when necessary.
• Conduct periodic field visits for monitoring and collections.
• Ensure excellent service is provided to all customers, and complaints are resolved professionally and in a timely manner.
• Record accurate and quality information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to facilitate effective issue resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Numida’s products to provide accurate information to clients.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in a credit officer or similar role.
• Skills:
  • Proficient with Android apps and desktop software (Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs).
  • Excellent verbal and written fluency in both English and Luganda (fluency in other Ugandan languages is an advantage).
  • Ability to provide customer care via chat with professional and concise English.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and empathy, with the ability to listen and address customer complaints with patience and compassion.
  • Desired typing speed of 30+ words per minute.
• Other Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience with customer care principles and strong phone etiquette.
