Job Description:
The Contract Accountant is responsible for defining the financial strategy for JESA, Unilever, and Nice House of Plastics Warehouses & Transport contracts. The role focuses on developing commercial opportunities to ensure long-term profitability. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing finance employee relations and team productivity.
- Ensuring operational processes, safeguarding internal controls, and maintaining compliance.
- Supervising cost control, transaction processing, and securing comparative quotes for value.
- Participating in operational, transactional, cost, and internal control processes.
- Overseeing internal and external audits, coordinating audit strategies, and managing follow-up action plans.
- Driving improvements through audits or feedback mechanisms.
- Coordinating risk management processes and providing advice to the Operations Manager on financial performance maximization.
- Building investment models and commercial papers for organic growth.
- Participating in the Local PRB process.
- Monitoring new projects to ensure they align with approved contracts and group guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 6–10 years of experience in finance, with increased responsibilities in management.
- Proven experience in leading a finance team.
- Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with relevant registration.
- Business Degree in Finance, Accounting, or BCom.
- A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Experience in finance and accounting in a multinational environment is a distinct advantage.
