Job Overview:

World Vision Uganda (WVU) is excited to announce the recruitment for our Graduate Internship Program (GRIP) for the Financial Year (FY) 2025. This program is designed for recent university graduates who are passionate about serving the most vulnerable communities in Uganda, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. The FY 2025 program will run from October 1st, 2024, to September 30th, 2025, offering valuable hands-on experience in humanitarian work while making a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

WVU is a Christian relief, development, and advocacy non-governmental organization focused on empowering children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Our operations span over 54 districts and encompass key project areas including health and nutrition, Water Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH), livelihoods and resilience, education, emergency response, and child protection.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a Ugandan citizen.
  • Recent graduates (within the past two years) with a Second Upper Class degree from a recognized university.
  • Young Christian professionals aged 26 or below, actively involved in their church, demonstrating strong Christian values, leadership, and outreach or mission work.
  • Candidates should exhibit strong character, honesty, and competency, with a recent medical check-up confirming good health.
  • Preference for graduates who have benefited from World Vision’s child sponsorship program or have been positively impacted by its community development programs.
  • Disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest, such as relatives working for or affiliated with World Vision Uganda, is required.

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance/Accounting): 4 positions (Oyam/Kampala/Karamoja/Gulu)
  • Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain: 1 position (Kampala)
  • Bachelor of Public Administration/SWASA: 3 positions (Kamwenge/Rakai/Mpigi)
  • Bachelor of Human Resources Management: 1 position (Kampala)
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science with Education: 3 positions (Oyam/Pader/Gulu)
  • Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition: 2 positions (Karamoja/Pader)
  • Bachelor of Science in Agriculture: 4 positions (Gulu)
  • Bachelor of Laws: 1 position (Kampala)
