Job Opportunity: Monitoring Evaluation Learning (MEL) Officer (Full-time)

Job Description:
The MEL Officer will lead the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning activities for USDC, reporting to the Head of Programmes.

Qualifications:

  • A first degree in Development Studies, Social Work and Social Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 9 years of experience in designing and implementing program monitoring and evaluation plans, supporting multi-site initiatives, and learning.
  • Experience with both process and outcome evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a multi-project MEL plan, including data collection tools and methodologies.
  • Use information management systems to collect, analyze, and share MEL data.
  • Train others in data analysis software (SPSS, Stata, SAS, R, NVIVO, KOBO, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Project Coordinators and ensure project M&E tracking.
  • Contribute to periodic project reports and collaborate with third-party research teams.
  • Lead knowledge exchange and foster learning during quarterly review meetings.
  • Present results through dashboards and other data-sharing methods.
