Job Opportunity: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant (Full-time)

Job Description:
Under the guidance of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, the M&E Assistant will support data gathering, ensure accurate data entry, and maintain project activity reports. LWF Uganda works closely with international partners and donors such as UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Assistants in the development and implementation of monitoring tools.
  • Participate in training Project Assistants on monitoring project indicators.
  • Verify beneficiary selection to ensure consistency with project criteria.
  • Participate in planning meetings to share M&E best practices.
  • Supervise casual laborers, data clerks, and research assistants, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist in developing realistic project work plans and budgets.
  • Prepare bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
  • Support data collection, entry, and analysis in the Newdea PMER system.
  • Monitor data consistency, quality, and input into the database platform.
  • Provide day-to-day support in verifying data quality, conducting interviews, and preparing reports.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Training in M&E, bio-statistical analysis, or data management is an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in performance monitoring and evaluation.
  • Proficient in data entry, Microsoft packages, and SPSS.
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • Must be able to ride a motorbike and take a riding test.
