Job Summary:
The Digital Payments Manager will be responsible for driving the development and execution of DFCU’s Digital Payments Strategy. The role involves creating innovative payment solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving growth in the payments ecosystem. The manager will ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards while identifying new revenue streams.
Reports to: Head Card & Payments
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Implementation:
- Develop and implement DFCU’s payments strategy in line with the bank’s growth goals.
- Create innovative payment initiatives to meet and anticipate customer needs.
- New Capabilities and Revenue Streams:
- Develop and monetize payment initiatives and identify customer-driven solutions.
- Build the payments-as-a-service capability and scale commercialization.
- Business Growth:
- Oversee the strategic vision for growing the payments business.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimize growth.
- Risk and Compliance:
- Ensure all payment solutions comply with regulatory frameworks.
- Mitigate risks and implement robust controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related fields.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in payments within financial services, Telco, FinTech, or related fields.
- Proven track record in driving payment business growth and profitability.
- Extensive knowledge of the payments industry in East Africa and global trends.
