About the LIFT Project:
The LIFT project aims to foster locally-led, climate-resilient, and inclusive livelihoods for host and refugee communities in Lamwo District. Implemented under a consortium of three organizations, the project supports refugees and host communities with resilient livelihoods, secure land access, and promotes community healing.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation and Sustainability:
- Develop and lead the coordination of monthly project activity plans.
- Organize and conduct capacity-building training for project participants.
- Provide expertise in agronomy, enterprise development, and climate-smart agriculture.
- Promote the Participatory Integrated Planning (PIP) approach to encourage positive mindset change in communities.
- Mentor and coach PIP innovators to ensure sustainable livelihoods.
- Ensure integration of PIP innovators with ongoing resilience and livelihood activities.
- Conduct periodic assessments of capacity needs and regularly update the capacity-building plan.
Documentation, Reporting, and Knowledge Management:
- Write and submit monthly progress reports and other necessary reports in a timely manner.
- Document and share success stories and best practices.
Rights of Marginalized Groups:
- Ensure that women, youth, the elderly, and persons with disabilities fully participate and benefit from the project interventions.
- Work with local leaders to protect children from project-related abuse.
- Advocate for the protection of women and girls’ rights.
Minimum Requirements:
- Professional qualification in agriculture or related fields.
- Fluency in English and Acholi; knowledge of Arabic, Dinka, or Nuer is an added advantage.
- Ability to ride a motorbike with a valid rider’s permit.
- Strong ICT and computer proficiency.
- Experience in livelihood programming and community-focused livelihood plans.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational, and project management skills.
