Job Description: Doctors with Africa CUAMM is currently implementing a project titled “Strengthening District Health Systems for Improved Access to and Utilization of Quality Integrated RMNCAH Services in Karamoja,” funded by the Embassy of Ireland in Uganda. The project is in collaboration with various partners, including the Ministry of Health (MOH), Uganda Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS), Mbarara University Center for Simulation, health professional associations, Moroto Regional Referral Hospital, and the 9 District Local Government in Karamoja.
We are excited to announce Phase II of the Youth Graduate Internship Program, providing valuable training and experience in health, community engagement, and data management. This program seeks enthusiastic and dedicated young individuals who have graduated within the past 2 years to fill the following internship positions across the 9 districts of Karamoja.
Available Positions:
- Midwives (10 positions): Support maternal and child health initiatives in Karamoja.
- Enrolled Nurses (3 positions): Deliver essential healthcare services to the community.
- Nutrition Officers (1 position): Improve nutritional well-being through education and support.
- Data Clerk Officers (2 positions): Assist in data management, analysis, and reporting for health programs.
- Community Engagement Officers (2 positions): Promote health and foster positive community engagement.
- Finance and Administration Officers (2 positions): Support financial and administrative activities.
Qualifications:
- Graduated in the last 2 years from a recognized institution in the relevant field.
- Passionate about making a positive impact on health and community well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Must be below 35 years of age.
- Preference given to applicants from the Karamoja region.
Additional Information:
- This is not a salaried position, but a monthly stipend will be provided to all successful applicants for the 6-month duration of the internship.
