About Quality Chemical Industries Limited (QCIL): Quality Chemical Industries Limited (QCIL), formerly Cipla Quality Chemical Industries Limited (CiplaQCIL), is a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Uganda. QCIL was the only company in Africa that manufactured triple-combination antiretroviral (ARV) drugs according to a 2007 published report.
Job Summary:
QCIL is seeking a Head Legal/Company Secretary with a deep understanding of compliance obligations for listed companies in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
- PGD in Legal Practice and ICSA is a must.
- An MBA will be an added advantage.
- Advocate of the High Court of Uganda.
- Experience:
- At least ten (10) years of legal and compliance management experience in a regulated environment.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of compliance obligations of listed companies in Uganda will be an added advantage.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
