Job Vacancy: Stores Assistant

Role Summary: The Stores Assistant will support the effective management of MJAP’s stores under the guidance of the Stores Officer. This role involves receiving, issuing, reporting, and maintaining custody of all store items in accordance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive items/goods in accordance with Local Purchase Orders (LPO), in the presence of a technical representative.
  • Update Rx Solution system daily and reconcile it with stock cards and waybills.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual stores reports; support monthly stock counts.
  • Issue items/goods based on authorized requests and prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN) for all store arrivals.
  • Maintain up-to-date stock cards to inform management and users of stock levels.
  • Check expiry dates of store items upon receipt to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Support monthly stock counts and maintain cleanliness and organization of the stores.
  • Ensure security and safety standards are upheld, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Regularly verify items to prevent damage, expiry, or loss.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma in Stores Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in storekeeping or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
