Overview:

CNOOC Enertech International (U) Limited seeks a skilled ESP Well Services Specialist to join our team in Uganda. The ESP Project Manager will ensure smooth ESP operations by managing equipment logistics, supporting data analysis, and coordinating with suppliers.

Primary Functions:

The ESP Project Manager is responsible for managing ESP projects and ensuring efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment requirements for completion/workover programs and ensure the availability of materials, spares, tools, and test equipment, guided by standard procedures.
  • Support the ESP Section Head with related report documentation in the office and assist in the preparation of data for management reports.
  • Participate in all ESP failure analyses and coordinate with ESP suppliers for follow-up actions.
  • Maintain and track materials, spares, tools, and test equipment, ensuring adherence to standard procedures.
  • Manage all contracts and service orders for the ESP system and coordinate with the manager or ESP Section Head.
  • Review ESP designs and purchase order (PO) lists before sending purchase orders as required.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure sufficient inventory for new conversions and replacements of ESP installations.
  • Maintain and update the database for all ESP wells.
  • Provide technical documents for ESP equipment, services, etc.
  • Provide technical support and analysis to field operations (installation, commissioning, and optimization).
  • Periodically update all ESP working procedures and related SOP documents.
  • Track ESP well issues and perform ESP well performance analyses.
  • Conduct necessary new technology studies, research, and analyses.

Requirements:

  • College degree or above in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Resource Exploration Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in ESP in the oil and gas sector.

Required Knowledge:

  • H2S protection training certificate for petroleum site operations.
  • Safety & survival certificate for petroleum site operations or other similar certificates.
  • Proficient in professional English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Capable of reviewing and optimizing ESP designs prior to installation/workover.
  • Experience with more than 15 wells or 3 years of pulling/installing ESP systems (including ESP install/pull, ESP cable splicing, electrical integrity reading, and clamping services) or other similar downhole operation experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of reservoir backgrounds and fluid properties with the ability to size and optimize ESP in varied scenarios.
  • Competence in ESP System Real-Time Monitoring, Performance Optimization, and Failure Detection, including remote monitoring systems.
  • Deep understanding of ESP materials and familiarity with all types of ESP equipment, including Ytool, Casing Shroud, POD/CAN system, various connectors, down-hole sensors, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, such as Excel, Word, PPT, and Project.

Miscellaneous:

  • Support the corporate culture and policies of CNOOC and conscientiously implement the company’s policies.
  • Age shall be no more than 45 years old.
