Position: Senior Manager IT – Systems Administration

Main Purpose:
Responsible for cost-effective and proactive acquisition, installation, deployment, management, and administration of the Corporation’s computer systems and information systems. Ensure compliance with IT policies, maximum system availability, adequate IT security, business continuity provisions, and effective user support.

Key Responsibilities / Key Result Areas:

1. Enforce NWSC IT policies.
2. Proactively acquire, install, and maintain NWSC’s software and information systems.
3. Maintain and support Management Information Systems effectively.
4. Standardize NWSC’s Management Information Systems.
5. Deploy applications effectively and provide user training across all applications and information systems within NWSC.
6. Implement effective and continuous measures to protect data and prevent data loss.
7. Develop and maintain functioning Disaster Recovery and effective Business Continuity Plans.
8. Ensure up-to-date and legal licenses for all outsourced Corporation applications and software.
9. Procure all externally acquired systems effectively.
10. Perform any other tasks assigned by Management.

The Person:
To be considered for this position, the applicant must have worked at a Principal Officer Level and above for at least three (03) years and should possess the following:

Experience, Knowledge & Education/Training:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• CCNA Certification.
• Preferred Additional Qualifications: IT Professional Qualification/Certification/Affiliation.

Experience:

• A minimum of ten (10) years of postgraduate experience in IT services – IT governance, applications development, systems administration, IT security management, infrastructure, or networks.
• A minimum of five (05) years of postgraduate qualification experience in IT systems administration and/or database management.
• Five years of experience working with a large organization/firm is a must.
• Age Limit: 35 to 45 years.

Capability Statement: a short bio, personal mission statement, achievements in the last 5-10 years in relation to the applicant’s working experience, plans & strategies for the next 3-5 years in relation to the key responsibilities (key result areas) respective to the position the applicant is applying for.
