Reports To: Director – IT

Main Purpose:
Responsible for the effective and proactive development and maintenance of all NWSC in-house software and IT applications to ensure the promotion of efficiency and innovative business solutions, as well as enhancement of sustainable digitization and automation of NWSC’s business processes.

Key Responsibilities / Key Result Areas:

1. Effective enforcement of NWSC IT Policies.
2. Development of Business Applications as per NWSC needs and requirements.
3. Ensure well-tested and secure business applications that meet all the needs and requirements of the end-users.
4. Proactively analyze the Corporation’s business requirements and translate these into well-functioning and cost-effective innovative business solutions.
5. Ensure timely integration and interfacing of the different software and applications within the corporation to enhance automation and efficiency of business processes.
6. Provide effective support to the Corporate Reporting and Business Intelligence functions.
7. Perform any other tasks assigned by Management.

The Person:
To be considered for this position, the applicant must have worked at a Principal Officer Level and above for at least three (03) years and should possess the following:

Experience, Knowledge & Education/Training:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Application Development, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Certification in Oracle, Microsoft, or SQL programming.
• Preferred additional qualifications: IT Professional Qualification/Certification/Affiliation.

Experience:

• A minimum of ten (10) years of postgraduate experience in IT services – IT governance, applications development, systems administration, IT security management, infrastructure, or networks.
• A minimum of five (05) years of postgraduate qualification experience in IT software/applications development and business solutions provision.
• Five years of experience working with a large organization/firm is a must.
• Age Limit: 35 to 45 years.

Capability Statement: a short bio, personal mission statement, achievements in the last 5-10 years in relation to the applicant’s working experience, plans & strategies for the next 3-5 years in relation to the key responsibilities (key result areas) respective to the position the applicant is applying for.
