Position Purpose:

To supervise staff, monitor and coordinate process control measures specifically in the sterilization section to ensure efficient output. Ensure continuous quality production through proper supervision of manpower, activities, and the status of working machines in the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper batch-wise production and separation in the pre and post-sterilization areas through line clearance and status labeling.
• Follow up on regular maintenance, validation, and calibration of production machinery.
• Implement cGMP guidelines for all staff and support staff.
• Adhere to good housekeeping practices and monitor the cleanliness of equipment.
• Plan and provide all materials required for daily operations.
• Participate in preparing and reviewing SOPs and ensure their implementation.
• Properly fill information in documents like BMR, sterilization logbooks, leak test logbooks, cleaning logbooks, and positive pressure records.
• Execute any other duty assigned by the supervisor to meet management expectations.
• Review and authorize contract laborer headcount shift-wise in coordination with the team leader.
• Execute and document all sterilization activities online.
• Train casual workers before involving them in production activities.
• Stop the filling machine if out-of-specification results are observed and confirmed with the section head-filling.
• Instruct BFS operators to rectify quality defect bottles.
• Coordinate with different production sections for smooth running of activities.
• Ensure sterilization of clean room and dispensing garments within the clean room area.
• Conduct training for all new recruits in the department.
• Efficiently plan for sterilization of products in case more than one product is in the process cycle.
• Minimize wastage of utilities like steam, cooling water, compressed air, electricity, etc.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, or any other related field.
• 2 years of experience working in a relevant/similar company.
• Ability to work with senior personnel.
• Excellent report writing skills.
