Job Description:
The Medical Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the medical inventory in the Kampala facility. This role involves ensuring the availability of medical supplies, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records of medical supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to ensure continuous availability.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of medical supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to medical supplies.
- Collaborate with medical staff to understand inventory needs and ensure proper stock management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Additional qualification in logistics and supply chain management is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position in a busy medical setting.
