About the Company:
Salem Brotherhood Uganda Ltd is a Non-Governmental Organization (PNFP) based in Mbale. The organization focuses on the Management of Malnutrition project across Mbale, Bukedea, Butebo, and Budaka districts.
Job Descriptions:
1. Project Coordinator
Contract: Full-time for 33 months
Reports to: Medical Coordinator
Duty Station: Salem Kolonyi
Overall Purpose/Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise project staff and monitor activities.
- Identify project needs and implement work plans.
- Organize and attend stakeholder meetings.
- Suggest adjustments to achieve project goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MBChB or Bachelor’s in Public Health.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
- Additional training in Pediatrics or MPH is an advantage.
- Must be licensed and fully registered.
- At least 2 years of experience in project work.
2. Monitoring and Evaluation/Data Officer
Contract: Part-time for 33 months
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Duty Station: Salem Kolonyi
Overall Purpose:
- Monitor project progress and prepare progress reports.
- Develop indicators and tools to track progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Postgraduate training in M&E.
- 3 years of work experience in M&E.
3. Nutrition Assistant
Contract: Full-time for 33 months
Duty Station: Salem Kolonyi
Overall Purpose/Responsibilities:
- Provide education to breastfeeding mothers and clients.
- Set and conduct nutrition clinics.
- Program health education activities.
- Support partner facilities and schools.
- Develop IEC materials.
- Train partner health teams and VHTs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nutrition or related field.
- 2 years of work experience.
- Certificate as a dietary technician is an advantage.
4. Agricultural Officer
Contract: Full-time for 33 months
Duty Station: Salem Kolonyi
Overall Purpose/Responsibilities:
- Lead agricultural activities and support small-scale farmers.
- Conduct needs assessments and training.
- Promote sustainable food production techniques.
- Supervise model farmers, kitchen gardeners, and school farmer groups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the relevant field.
5. Driver
Contract: Full-time for 33 months
Duty Station: Salem Kolonyi
Overall Purpose/Responsibilities:
- Support project staff road travel needs.
- Ensure maintenance and effective running of vehicles.
- Prepare monthly vehicle logbook analysis and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum education level of P.5.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Age below 40 years.
- Valid driver’s license with 3 classes and above.
- 3 years of driving experience in a reputable organization.
- Good vision (driving without aid of spectacles).
- Certificate in driving course/motor vehicle repair is an advantage.
