Job Summary:
The Relationship Manager – Trade Finance is responsible for marketing the Bank’s products and managing customer relationships through proactive and consultative approaches. The role involves acquiring profitable new business, retaining existing business relationships, and maintaining high-quality portfolios to achieve the Bank’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Acquisition: Acquire profitable new business relationships to achieve defined sales targets, focusing on growing revenue from trade finance products.
- Customer Portfolio Growth: Acquire new trade finance customers and grow the customer portfolio.
- Deposit Growth: Achieve set targets for growing deposits.
- Business Opportunities Identification: Identify business opportunities within the existing portfolio and grow customer relationships.
- Portfolio Management: Manage and monitor the assigned trade finance portfolio quality.
- Documentation Review: Review, analyze, screen, and verify all client documentation before submission for recommendation and approval.
- Product Marketing: Market all Bank products in line with defined segments, targets, and strategic objectives.
- Customer Visits and Reports: Conduct regular customer visits and prepare detailed reports to monitor and grow the customer base.
- Loan Portfolio Maintenance: Maintain a clean loan portfolio with no recalled facilities.
- Activity Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly activity reports to the Chief Business Officer (CBO).
- Branch Support: Grow and support branches with trade finance business.
- Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive database of existing relationships/prospects and establish retention and growth strategies.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Account Plans and Reviews: Carry out account plans and annual reviews for all customers within the trade finance portfolio.
- Cross-Selling: Promote and cross-sell all Bank products.
- Meeting Attendance: Attend all weekly business meetings punctually.
Education:
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
- Experience Requirement: At least 3 years of experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
