Key Responsibilities:
- Capacity Building:
- Train and strengthen the capacity of WVU project staff, partners, and community structures on gender and disability inclusion in food programming.
- Deliver gender equality and social inclusion training to project staff.
- Develop and facilitate gender, protection, and disability inclusion components in training materials and project tools.
- Ensure accessibility of gender, protection, and disability inclusion materials.
- Mainstreaming and Implementation:
- Mainstream gender, protection, and disability inclusion in livelihood and resilience program implementation.
- Conduct gender, protection, and disability analysis to identify and address barriers to children’s and community’s protection needs.
- Formulate key messages and targets based on lessons learned and evidence gained through project implementation.
- Ensure peacebuilding is integrated into the project life cycle.
- Reporting and Budget Management:
- Submit timely and quality program reports to the Project Manager.
- Document impact/success stories and best practices.
- Compile and submit quarterly and annual project reports.
- Monitor and manage the protection-specific budget.
- Track protection-related risks and implement controls.
- Networking and Engagements:
- Represent World Vision Uganda at gender-based violence and child protection working groups.
- Coordinate with protection partners and CP staff for field activities and referrals.
- Participate in the Gender community of practice in WVU.
- Coordinate with WFP in gender, protection, and disability-related assessments.
- Gender Assessments and Program Design:
- Conduct partner capacity assessments and continuous monitoring.
- Support gender, protection, and disability inclusion assessments.
- Ensure all proposals are gender and disability inclusive.
- Assist in data collection, analyses, and reporting.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in child protection and gender development programming, preferably in fragile contexts.
- Additional certificate courses in key training packages preferred.
- Familiarity with international standards for humanitarian work.
- Experience working in refugee response operations or similar contexts.
