Key Result Areas
- Facilitate installation of machinery and fabrication of company facilities including tanks and other special equipment.
- Review and identify material needs, and place requisitions for equipment and associated spare parts.
- Maintain safe custody of tools and equipment allocated.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
- Maintain high safety measures during day-to-day operations.
- Operate heavy equipment such as industrial saws and other heavy tools.
- Review different methods of welding and provide guidance on appropriate techniques.
- Plan and prepare maintenance schedules for all welding operations.
- Review and follow all Standard Operating Procedures while working and as guided by the Mechanical Supervisor.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Mechanical Supervisor.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate in Crafts in sheet and metal works.
- 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar field.
Skills & Professional Attributes Required
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent personnel management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced working environment.
- Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent team player with the ability to manage time efficiently.
