Position Overview:

Old Mutual is seeking Claims Graduate Management Trainees to join our team. As a temporary employee handling claims, particularly those arising from motor claims, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and effective service in various fields. Reporting to the Head of Claims, you will be responsible for inspecting claims, preparing reports, processing claims, verifying quotations for motor vehicle repairs, handling client queries, and ensuring documentation is maintained accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out inspections and collect information relevant to claims.
• Prepare reports on inspected claims.
• Receive, register, and process all claims.
• Verify quotations for motor vehicle repairs and confirm spare parts prices.
• Assess liability on policies and identify claims that do not qualify for settlement.
• Ensure claims are lodged with reinsurers.
• Prepare discharge vouchers for payment approval.
• Attend to client queries.
• Collect salvages and maintain the salvage register.
• Prepare Monthly Claims Reports.
• Liaise with other departments for efficient processing of payments and to provide input to underwriters on claims experience.
