Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Classify and file reports, correspondences, and memos.
  • Translate documents as requested by supervisors.
  • Collect weekly activity reports.
  • Complete request forms for office supplies.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics support within Entebbe Support Base.
  • Participate in logistics reconnaissance missions and draft reports.
  • Liaise with local authorities on MONUSCO land occupation.
  • Coordinate logistics support for military contingent rotations.
  • Assist during evacuation periods if required.
  • Review client mission rotation schedules and assign transit camp availability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid national driver’s license required.
  • Certificate in Administration/Logistics desirable.
  • Five years of progressive logistics experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Prior logistics experience in a UN field operation desirable.
  • Fluency in oral and written English required.

About MONUSCO:
Following the signing of the Lusaka Ceasefire Agreement in July 1999 between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and five regional States (Angola, Namibia, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zimbabwe) in July 1999, the Security Council established the United Nations Organization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC) by its resolution 1279 of 30 November 1999, initially to plan for the observation of the ceasefire and disengagement of forces and maintain liaison with all parties to the Ceasefire Agreement. Later in a series of resolutions, the Council expanded the mandate of MONUC to the supervision of the implementation of the Ceasefire Agreement and assigned multiple related additional tasks
