Apprenticeship Opportunity in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector

The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities is offering apprenticeship opportunities in the Tourism and Hospitality sector to contribute to skills development and employment creation in Uganda. This program aligns with Objective 4 of the NDP III and the NRM Manifesto’s commitment to enhancing the capacity of the labor force in the tourism value chain.
Objectives of the Program:
- Provide hands-on working experience to professionals interested in the tourism and hospitality industry.
- Offer young graduates relevant skills, bridging the school-to-work transition gap, and improving their productivity and employability.
- Enable the hospitality sector to contribute to the development of locally skilled workers, reducing the reliance on foreign labor.
- Engage employers in training to ensure graduates possess skills relevant to the labor market requirements.

- Waitrons
- Receptionists
- Bakers
- Tour Guides
Requirements:
- Hold qualifications in Tourism, Leisure, and Hospitality from a recognized University or Institution.
- Completed studies between 2020 to 2024 and currently unemployed.
- Applicants should specify only one specific trade of interest.
