About FHI 360:
FHI 360 is a non-profit human development organization dedicated to improving lives by advancing integrated, locally driven solutions. We serve more than 70 countries and are the prime implementing partner for the USAID-funded Maternal, Child Health & Nutrition (MCHN) Activity in Uganda. As part of this program, we are conducting a study on zero-dose and under-immunized communities in the 5 Divisions of KCCA.

Job Purpose:
The Research Assistants will support both qualitative and quantitative data collection for the study.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Support qualitative and quantitative data collection in study sites through consenting study participants.
  2. Support survey data collection in identified missed communities in the 5 divisions of KCCA.
  3. Conduct and coordinate focus group discussions (FDGs) and in-depth interviews (IDIs) in the 5 Divisions of KCCA.
  4. Work closely with your supervisor/Principal investigator to ensure research participants are protected throughout the data collection process.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  1. A basic diploma or bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine, nursing/midwifery, public health, social sciences, or related disciplines.
  2. Experience in Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) service delivery for 1-2 years at the district level.
  3. Must be registered with their respective professional councils.
  4. Minimum of 2 years of research experience with qualitative and quantitative experiences in data collection.
  5. Must possess a valid certificate of good clinical practice (GCP).
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
