Job Title: Research Nurse

Job Summary: Conduct clinical assessment of research participants, recruit eligible study participants, and provide nursing care and medical services according to the study protocol. Develop standard operating procedures and submit event reports to regulatory bodies, IRB, and the sponsor.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Identify, screen, and recruit eligible participants, ensuring the target number is met within the designated period.
- Provide study information and obtain informed consent from participants and caregivers.
- Perform required study anthropometric measurements and provide initial and emergency treatment for participants.
- Collect samples for TB diagnosis and collect study data using provided tools.
- Conduct quality control procedures on completed forms and respond to data queries.
- Prepare and circulate minutes from meetings and weekly study progress reports.
- Conduct follow-up home visits for clients receiving ART and TPT in the community.
Required Qualification, Experience, and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years’ experience offering nursing care in a TB-HIV clinic and research setting.
- Training in TB screening, prevention, and treatment. HIV/AIDs treatment, prevention, and research is an added advantage.
- Must have at least a credit 6 in MATHEMATICS and ENGLISH at Ordinary Level (UCE).
