Role Summary:
The Senior Executive Operations (Senior Underwriter) will be responsible for underwriting insurance risks, processing insurance documents, maintaining a balanced business portfolio, and supporting in the preparation of management reports.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Underwrite insurance risks as per company guidelines.
- Assist credit control team in follow-up of premium payments.
- Make and follow up on renewal notices for retention.
- Attend to client queries.
- Place reinsurance and maintain risk allocation.
- Assess, inspect, and accept risks.
- Maintain underwriting registers and records.
- Recommend risk management measures and improvements.
- Analyze and review performance of existing business.
- Market the company’s insurance products.
- Policy issuance and sticker management.
- Routine reporting on assigned work.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Turnaround time for policy, sticker, & quote issuance.
- Client retention rates.
- System usage.
- Sticker availability.
- Accuracy of documents issued.
- Up-to-date registers/records.
- Timely routine reports.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial science, Business, or related field.
- Professional Insurance Qualification (Minimum: Certificate in Insurance).
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in an Insurance Company.
- Proven numerical, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- High level of personal and professional integrity.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with minimum supervision.
