Job Summary:
The Lead Generator: Bancassurance will achieve agreed sales targets by proactively selling the bank’s insurance products to retail and business banking customers. Responsibilities include business development with both new and existing customers to grow the Bancassurance book.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales to Retail and Business Banking Customers (90%):
- Achieve exceptional sales performance by identifying and meeting customer needs through selling and cross-selling Bancassurance products to meet set targets.
- Provide hands-on sales support, including quality lead generation and effective follow-up, to generate and convert quality leads into sales.
- Ensure correctness of completed application forms for different insurance products in line with bank policies and requirements.
- Comply with operational risk and rigor requirements, including Health & Safety standards, premises security, KYC, and anti-money laundering regulations.
Customer Service (5%):
- Provide timely, excellent customer service in line with Absa values and policies.
- Resolve customer queries, complaints, and process applications within the bank’s service level agreements.
- Build relationships with internal service providers to ensure a quick turnaround time for escalated queries, complaints, and submitted product applications.
Technical Experience and Capability (5%):
- Pursue continuous improvement in personal development through participation in assigned learning and development trainings.
- Agree on annual performance objectives with the line manager, including specific sales targets.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies (Required)
