Job Summary:
As a Customer Service Officer, you will act as the deputy to the Service Leader, supervising Tellers to ensure smooth and timely over-the-counter service delivery to customers. You will uphold operational controls, processes, and procedures while aligning activities with the bank’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a deputy to the Service Leader.
- Supervise tellers, ensuring adherence to approved standards.
- Coordinate activities and ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures.
- Prepare work schedules and manage vault cash.
- Supervise cash sorting, management services, and all teller activities.
- Ensure accurate closure of tills and transaction authorizations.
- Review and reconcile all transactions.
- Maintain ATM operations and reconcile cash.
- Communicate the bank’s vision and ensure alignment of unit goals.
Minimum Education Qualification:
- First degree or equivalent in any relevant discipline.
- Post-graduate or professional qualification is an added advantage.
Work Experience:
- 2-5 years cognate experience, with at least 2 years in banking operations.
Key Competencies & Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of I&M Bank’s products and services.
- Highly customer-centric with clear communication abilities.
- Understanding of electronic banking trends and developments.
- Receptive to alternative views, open-minded, and adaptable.
- Knowledgeable about financial indicators and customer needs.
- Ability to handle complaints and suggest improvements.
