About Hopelink Action Foundation (HAF Uganda): Hopelink Action Foundation (HAF Uganda) is a dynamic and impactful non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-political National Non-Governmental Organization. Registered in compliance with National NGO Bureau regulations, HAF-Uganda has been dedicated to implementing life-changing projects since 2019. These projects span across various fields including mental health and psycho-social care, education and child protection, agriculture and livelihoods, community development, biodiversity, environmental protection, and advocacy.

Position: Project Support Officers
Duty Locations: Palorinya-01, and Palabek-01
Reports to: Team Leader
Start Date: 2nd May 2024
Contract Duration: Ends 31st December 2024 (with possible extension based on funding availability and performance)

Responsibilities:

Finance:

  • Verify payments, Purchase Requisition Forms, donor and account coding, budget availability, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Manage petty cash, prepare cash vouchers, process payments, and prepare check payment vouchers.
  • Record all financial transactions, manage day-to-day finance office operations, and ensure compliance with HAF Uganda and donors’ procedures.
  • Assist in implementing finance policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement of financial management systems.

Administration:

  • Maintain leave register, update staff on leave days and plans per HR policy.
  • Prepare monthly leave reports and submit to HR.
  • Review and register staff timesheets, ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist in recruitment processes, onboarding of new hires, and clearance of exiting staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in finance or accounts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to work in a team.
