Job Title: Accounts Administrator

Duty Station: Mbarara, Uganda

About US:

Caritas Mbarara is the socio-pastoral arm of the Archdiocese of Mbarara, operating in South Western Uganda. It aims to bring the spirit of charity to various levels and deliver services that promote integral development within the Archdiocese.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets with the project team.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, such as invoices, receipts, and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports for the management team.
  • Oversee general administrative functions, including procurement of office supplies and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records and documentation.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of Second Upper.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • At least three years of related work experience.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
