Key Duties and Responsibilities: As a Plant Maintenance Mechanic, your role involves:
- Assisting in the installation of new machines within the plant.
- Diagnosing and addressing mechanical faults and breakdowns.
- Conducting preventive, autonomous, and breakdown maintenance.
- Reporting and assisting in the analysis of incidents or potential hazards.
- Monitoring and recording the use of workplace consumables and making requisitions as needed.
- Using and maintaining workshop tools according to working conditions and specifications.
- Daily checks to ensure machines meet safety standards.
- Planning and developing work schedules, equipment usage schedules, and maintenance procedures.
- Preparing daily maintenance reports for submission to the Mechanical Supervisor and Production Officer.
- Providing operational support to Machine Operators.
- Participating in daily housekeeping practices.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- A Higher or Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least three years of experience in electrical repair and maintenance, including one year of supervisory experience.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical components and their applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical maintenance, production processes, and control logic.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and troubleshooting abilities.
