Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in petroleum geosciences, Geology, or Geophysics.
  • Maximum 2 years post-graduation experience in the petroleum industry.

Activities:

Total Energies EP Uganda is offering Graduate Trainee opportunities to fresh university graduates with a bachelor’s degree not exceeding two years after graduation with academic scores that reflect a potential minimum of an upper second degree.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Social Performance department in the areas of stakeholder management and corporate social responsibility.

Context & Environment:

Project Overview: The Tilenga field is a Green Field Project located in a remote area in Uganda near Lake Albert, with particularly sensitive environmental conditions. The project poses various challenges, including the production of heavy and waxy oils from 31 drilling pads, some of which are located in a national park. The oil is treated in a Production Center with a capacity of 200,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and 650,000 barrels of water per day (bld) treatment capacity. Reservoir pressure maintenance is ensured through water injection or polymer water injection, depending on reservoir characteristics. Additionally, the project involves an extended interconnecting network with temperature preservation.

Work Environment:

  • Multicultural environment: Contractors are expected to be located in various parts of the world.
  • Application of Ugandan rules and regulations, administrative requirements, and technical authorizations.
  • Compliance with International codes for onshore plants.
