Project Overview:
Challenges Uganda, in partnership with the Shortlist, is implementing the Women for Green Jobs Project. This project aims to provide opportunities for 30 women professionals who are passionate about the green sector to enhance their skills and potentially be retained by companies in the renewable energy sector. The project includes internship-structured training for 8 weeks and offers business advisory services to participating businesses.

Application Requirements:
We invite applications from passionate and skilled women professionals who meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Age group: 23-35 years
• Hold a relevant degree or diploma with practical skills in finance, sales and marketing, and operations, demonstrated through previous work experience.
• Have an interest in the renewable energy sector.
• Interested in working in businesses focusing on green jobs and renewable energy.
• Willing to upskill in the technical sector.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in both written and verbal English.
• Ability to commit to an 8-week full-time placement.
• Must be based in Kampala or Wakiso.
• Previous work/internship experience and voluntary placements are an added advantage.

Note: The internship is unpaid, but participants will receive a monthly allowance to cover program-related expenses such as transport during the 8-week placement.
