Hive Colab is a collaborative technology and business development space for IT professionals & entrepreneurs across Uganda. Founded in 2010 as part of the Appfrica Labs’ software incubation initiative, it is currently home to over 10,000 members. Over the last 3 years, Hive Colab has supported over 50 social tech and business enterprises, fostering economic empowerment and innovation within the Ugandan tech community. With a focus on solving social and economic challenges using technology, Hive Colab collaborates with private sector, government, and civil society to create positive social impact.

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Community Lead to manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of activities and teams. The position will require regular travel to communities within the assigned portfolio. Candidates must provide competent and effective leadership, ensuring the growth and success of the communities and teams while maximizing overall operating performance and effectiveness. Ideal candidates should have 2-3 years of proven multi-site management experience.

Responsibilities:

• Engage Western Region clients using the Hub.
• Support the portfolio of projects activities implemented in the regions.
• Establish a customer-centric culture at our regional offices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in multi-site management, preferably in a nonprofit or community development context.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned portfolio.
