About Junior Achievement Uganda (JA): Junior Achievement Uganda (JA) is a non-profit international organization operating since 2008 (Reg. NO. INDR85334810NB), dedicated to preparing young people to succeed in the 21st-century global economy through experiential learning in financial literacy, employability, and entrepreneurship.
Job Description: JA Uganda is seeking passionate candidates to join as Youth Development Facilitators for its 2024 programs. The selected candidates will play a pivotal role in implementing various initiatives aimed at impacting over 100,000 youths in career readiness, entrepreneurship, and leadership. This role involves working with diverse groups, including NEETs, secondary school graduates, TVET trainees, urban slum youths, refugees, school dropouts, young women in vulnerable communities, and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.
- Mobilize participants for community-based training programs.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships at the regional level.
- Manage stakeholders effectively to ensure program success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Business, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in teaching, working, or volunteering with youth.
- Experience working with out-of-school youth is advantageous.
- Proficiency in training large teams in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.
- Capacity to mobilize participants for community-based training.
- Ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships at the regional level.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
