INTERNAL AUDITOR – TECHNICAL
JOB DESCRIPTION: This role is pivotal in conducting technical and operational audits to identify inadequate, inefficient, or ineffective internal controls, noncompliance issues, and recommend improvements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Geoscience, or Petroleum Engineering from an internationally recognized University.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
- Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Any professional qualification relevant to Audit and Assurance.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) years of relevant working experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Examine the correctness of records and completeness of documentation.
- Prepare audit working papers, documentation, and follow-up on recommendations from previous technical audits.
- Draft and compile technical audit programs, findings, and conclusions.
- Analyze records, reports, and operating practices to recommend opportunities for strengthening internal control structures.
- Assess compliance with regulations and controls during the execution of technical audit programs.
- Participate in relevant technical statutory meetings and workshops.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed.
