INTERNAL AUDITOR – TECHNICAL

JOB DESCRIPTION: This role is pivotal in conducting technical and operational audits to identify inadequate, inefficient, or ineffective internal controls, noncompliance issues, and recommend improvements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Geoscience, or Petroleum Engineering from an internationally recognized University.

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

• Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Any professional qualification relevant to Audit and Assurance.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Three (3) years of relevant working experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Examine the correctness of records and completeness of documentation.
• Prepare audit working papers, documentation, and follow-up on recommendations from previous technical audits.
• Draft and compile technical audit programs, findings, and conclusions.
• Analyze records, reports, and operating practices to recommend opportunities for strengthening internal control structures.
• Assess compliance with regulations and controls during the execution of technical audit programs.
• Participate in relevant technical statutory meetings and workshops.
• Undertake additional assignments as directed.
