About Prudential Uganda: Prudential Uganda is a leading insurance provider dedicated to serving our clients with excellence and integrity. We are currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join our team in Kampala, East Africa. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in providing financial analysis, reporting, and decision support to various business units within Prudential Uganda.

Job Scope: The Finance Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, forecasting financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements, conduct profitability analysis, and perform financial modeling.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare management reports, dashboards, and financial presentations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts, monitor performance, and provide recommendations.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and business case development.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance industry.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis and Projects: Undertake special projects and provide support on financial matters as required.

Core Competences Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • CPA or ACCA credentials.
  • Prior experience in financial analysis, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.

Work Hours: 8 hours per day

Experience Required: 36 months

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
