Job Title: Office Assistant (O’ Level Jobs)

About ERA:
The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) is a statutory body established in accordance with the Electricity Act, 1999 (Chapter 145, Laws of Uganda). The Act empowers ERA to regulate the Generation, Transmission, Sale, Export, Import, and Distribution of electrical energy in Uganda.

Job Summary:
The Office Assistant will provide cleaning and equipment management services to promote, maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper hygiene within ERA premises in line with the Human Resource and Administration Department guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Allocate cleaning roles to service providers on a daily basis in line with the given agreement.
• Provide and use a checklist for distributing sanitary items in ERA premises in line with the given agreement.
• Use a checklist for maintaining ERA compound in line with the given agreement.
• Open and close windows at the end of every working day.
• Ensure the safety of staff and control ERA’s expenditure by switching off electrical appliances in open areas every day as per regulations.
• Handle photocopying activities when called upon to do so.
• Dispatch internal correspondences within the given timelines.
• Perform any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the supervisor or Management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education.
• A minimum of three years of relevant working experience in a reputable organization.
• Should be below 35 years of age.
