Job Title: Stores Officer (External)
Reports To: Logistics Supervisor
Job Purpose: Coordinating inventory management activities and ensuring that optimal levels of inventory are maintained in accordance with quality and quantity standards. Tracking inventory records and ensuring accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities / Key Deliverables:
- Timely process payments for TV subscription, NW&SC, UMEME/WENRECO.
- Prepare and follow up on Form 5 requisitions, referencing the stationery needs identified by stationery champions, to ensure the timely supply and delivery of all pre-printed and general stationery items, while mitigating the risks associated with stockouts.
- Attend to stores-related issues in the service desk.
- Prepare and ensure monthly stock counts are carried out with the Finance department and compile relevant expense reports.
- Prepare monthly reports on inventory requisitions, purchases, distributions, stock balances, and advise on obsolete stocks for disposal, running low stocks, and overstocked items.
- Coordinate quarterly performance appraisal meetings online / physical with key suppliers, annually for non-key suppliers.
- Submission of monthly inventory reports every 1st of the new month to the line supervisor for review and consolidation.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time.
- Effectively manage all inventory contracts for stamps, pens, toners archival boxes, ATM rolls, printed and general stationery, registers.

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or any relevant field.
- Prior Experience in inventory management, stock control, or related roles is highly valued.
- Demonstrate a collaborative work style, strong leadership skills, and should have the ability to take proper decision and action whenever any difficult situation arises.
