Job Title: TELEHANDLER OPERATOR
Reports to: Logistics Team Lead

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Telehandler Operator is responsible for transporting materials/equipment from a storage space to a designated workplace, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency.
KEY DUTIES:
- Operate the Telehandler to deliver materials/equipment and other items to specified destinations.
- Perform regular checks on the Telehandler following guidelines issued by the Line Manager.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with health, safety, and environmental procedures and legislation as well as maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Ensure that the Machine is kept clean, in good condition, and parked safely at all times.
- Report mechanical faults to the Supervisor/Engineering Manager promptly.
- Ensure accuracy during loading to avoid overloading.
- Carry out basic maintenance of the machine as per the approved Maintenance Schedule.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- Uganda Certificate of Education.
- Professional Certificate in Telehandler Operation.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Driving a Telehandler, Forklift, or Tractor.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly flexible and adaptable to new environments.
- Exposure to working in a very busy work environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
- Honesty and integrity.
